Refund Policy

The link to request a refund is at the bottom of this page. Please ensure your refund request complies with our Refund Policy before submitting.

1. REFUNDS

The period of time that a refund request will be honored will be referred to as the "Refund Period".

Unless otherwise advertised for a particular service or product, our default refund policy allows for a full refund to be requested within 30 days of the purchase date (in other words, a 30 day default Refund Period). The date of purchase as it appears in our financial transactional system will mark the first day out of the Refund Period. Once the Refund Period expires, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Refunds will only be given to customers who actually purchased the product directly from us. If you received your product as a gift, requesting a refund may issue a credit to the purchaser instead of the receiver of the gift.

Refunds may be delayed or withheld, in part or in full, if we believe a person, people, robot or robots are purchasing a large quantity of courses all at once or over time, and then requesting refunds within or outside of the refund window, causing - or in an attempt to cause - significant damage to The Wiseman Institute LLC's financial resources, cyber resources, and/or manpower resources. We also reserve the right to seek out and prosecute sources of malicious cyber attacks against us.

To complete your refund, you must have an active Internet connection and be able to sign into your account to cancel your purchase for a refund. If you forget your user ID or password, you can go to our website, try to sign in, and click the option to recover your account information. Account information will be sent to the email address used to register for your account.

2. REFUND TIMING AND TROUBLESHOOTING

The time to process a refund will depend on how quickly both we and your financial institution can process the refund request. You can expect reasonable processing times from us, but we are not liable if the processing time takes longer than you were expecting.

Once your refund is processed, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Information sent to us via email may have a variable response time. We highly recommend using the existing support resources to find solutions to your questions or issues whenever possible.

Please note that The Wiseman Institute LLC is not able to speed up the processing time of financial institutions involved in issuing a refund unless we discover a technical issue or refund request that is in queue waiting to be processed.

3. NON-USD CURRENCY REFUNDS

All items are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD). If you request a refund on a purchase that was originally processed in a currency other than USD, the refunded amount may be greater than, less than, or equal to the amount of non-USD currency (such as the Euro, Canadian Dollar, or other currency) at the time of purchase, depending on the currency exchange rate formula and policies used by the Payment Processing Company (such as PayPal, Stripe, Alipay, SOFORT, etc. etc.)  at the time the refund is processed.

The Wiseman Institute LLC has no control or influence over the currency exchange rate formula or policies used by the Payment Processing Companies, and you agree not to hold The Wiseman Institute LLC liable for a refund that is less than expected due to changes in currency exchange rates or changes in the currency exchange rate formulas or policies of the Payment Processing Company used to process the refund.

4. SALE ITEMS AND BUNDLES

Items can only be refunded for the final price plus any tax you paid our company for them, subject to any other terms of a specific promotion. For example, certain promotions may offer a low-price in return for waiving the ability to refund a purchase.

Some products may be "bundled" with others, which means you can purchase more than one product together either at the same time or with a period of time elapsing in between purchase, possibly for a discounted price.

If a product is bundled with another product for a discounted price, and a refund is both allowed and requested for one (or more) of the items, then discounted pricing is lost for the items not refunded.

Here are three examples for how the refund calculation works for items purchased in a Bundle:

Bundle example one: Product A is $20, and Product B is $20. A bundle is offered for $30 that includes both Product A and B. You request a refund for just Product B. Since Product A costs $20 individually, and the discounted price offered by purchasing as a bundle would no longer apply, the refund for Product B would be $10 (math: $30 Bundle Price - $20 for Product A not refunded = $10).

Bundle example two: The non-sale prices of Product A is $20, Product B is $20, and Product C is $20. A bundle is offered to get all three products for just $50. You later request a refund for just Product C.  Since the discounted price offered by purchasing as a bundle would no longer apply , and Product A and Product B are both normally $20, the refund for Product C would be $10 (math: $50 Bundle Price - $20 for Product A not refunded - $20 for Product B not refunded = $10).

Bundle example three: The non-sale price of Product A is $20, Product B is $20, and Product C is $20. A bundle is offered to get all three products for just $50. You later request a refund for both Product B and Product C.  Since the discounted price offered by purchasing as a bundle would no longer apply , and Product A is normally $20, the refund for Product B and Product C would be $30 (math: $50 Bundle Price - $20 for Product A not refunded = $30). The same logic applies for items more than three.

Why do we do this? Otherwise, people can abuse our refund policy to artificially lower prices on one or more items by buying as a bundle and refunding one or more other items in the bundle. For example, someone otherwise might buy a bundle for three items at the discounted price of $30 total ($10 each) when they are normally $60 total ($20 each) if bought separately. Then the person might try and refund two items in the bundle at their discounted price of $10 each to end up with the single item for $10 instead of $20.

5. PRODUCT UPGRADES

Some products may offer the ability to upgrade for access to one or more additional products. Upgrades will be treated differently than a "Bundle",

If a product is upgraded to another product for an additional price, the beginning of the upgraded product's Refund Period begins on the day of purchase for the upgrade.

If a customer requests a refund for the upgraded product, approved refunds will return the price paid for the upgrade (in U.S. dollars) to the original source(s) of payment. The customer will retain the original product (pre-upgrade), unless that product is refunded in a separate request.
